Grow Out Program
Help us grow out some seeds for the seed lending library and eat some of the bounty in the process.
How it works:
- Three times a year: fall, early spring, & late spring you will receive an email with a Google Form from your teacher inviting you to take some seeds to plant in your garden for the purpose of letting them go to seed.
- Talk to your parents/guardians to see if they are interested. If so, fill in the form. No previous seed saving experience required.
- Your science teacher will give you the seeds and planting instructions.
- Keep an eye out through the season for emails talking about seed saving tips.
All the seeds are super easy to save seeds from and are perfect for beginning seed savers.
You can preview the Grow a Row List to see what is available. NOTE: We will only be providing things that are can be planted at that time and have enough time in the growing season to go to seed. When you get the Google Form, it will tell you which months things can be planted.
